Provenance is key. Bruichladdich believes the interaction of man, land, soil and climate is paramount. They value their farmer relationships, reconnecting that lost cycle between farmer and distiller - land and spirit.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\r\nBruichladdich Black Art 4.1 23 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky was distilled in 1990 and originally aged in American oak casks that were previously used to mature bourbon. After its initial beautyrest, however, McEwan conjured up an entirely unique whisky — the Black Art was finished in a variety of assorted wine casks (the exact method that McEwan used to create the Black Art remains a closely guarded secret) before being bottled at cask strength.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\r\nAs a result, the whisky has an antique copper color and a unique flavor profile. It has an aroma of cherry, apricot, orange, brown sugar and figs. Initially, the velvety palate continues with fruit-forward notes structured by oak, honey, tobacco, and cinnamon.
