Red Kingdom Vodka

                        A special occasion like the 50th anniversary of the opening of the GEHA field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City deserves a special spirit, decided the good men at J. Rieger & Co. All of the sobs and victory calls, the champions who visited the place and those who made it their home, all of the men and women who brought the joy, the excitement, and the team spirit to this special place, they all deserve a drink that celebrates them. That drink became the Red Kingdom Vodka. This smooth and silky vodka is made from 100% corn and ran through copper stills before being bottled at 40% ABV. With its clear aroma and fine taste, it is a perfect addition to some fresh cocktails but is flavorful enough to be enjoyed neat or on the rocks. Raise your glass when your team secures a victory and drown it when they don’t, but most of all, enjoy this spirit passionately and inclusively, as you would your favorite sport. This is a limited edition series, released in 2022, so be quick to secure your bottle in time.

Don’t hesitate to grab your bottle today!

About J. Rieger & Co.

                                            J. Rieger & Co. was a prominent Kansas City, Missouri distillery and the largest mail-order whiskey producer in the US before Prohibition. It was founded by Jacob Rieger, an Austrian immigrant. After opening a grocery store in Kansas City, Rieger quickly turned to making spirits. The company was founded in 1887 and around the turn of the century had a customer base of over 250,000, selling whiskey, gin, rum, and bitters via mail. The company continued to thrive under Rieger's son Alexander but was forced to shut down when Prohibition began. The Rieger family transitioned into banking, while the J. Rieger & Co. building was turned into a parking lot.

In 2010, Ryan Maybee started playing with the idea to revive the historic distillery. Maybee was a Kansas City bartender who opened a bar at the former Rieger Hotel building. He teamed up with Chef Howard Hanna, adding a restaurant to the business. Andy Rieger, at the time the only remaining Rieger from the same bloodline, came to congratulate Maybee on opening night, and Maybee suggested that the distillery be brought back. The two secured the original trademark and set the plan in motion. In 2014 they were joined by the legendary Dave Pickerell, who helped them with the re-launch. Fittingly, the revived company's first product was a whiskey.

Soon after, Head Distiller Nathan Perry joined the team, studying under the mentorship of Pickerell. Their 750-gallon copper Vendome still came online in 2015 and their lineup started expanding with a wheat vodka, gin, and amaro. Today, they distill 1,200 barrels of rye and bourbon each year and the first 5-year-old whiskeys came of age in 2021. J. Rieger & Co. is the first legal Kansas City distillery since Prohibition.

Explore all J. But one thing is clear: this somewhat simple spirit, first used as a medicinal concoction, has become one of the most versatile drinks in the world.

It can be distilled from any type of grains, potatoes, or even grapes worldwide. Due to its simplicity, this unaged spirit's main flavor factor is the quality of water and the ingredients used in the distillation process.

Primarily used in cocktails, vodka can also stand its ground when enjoyed neat.

Check out our impressive selection of vodkas, find your new favorite in The best-reviewed vodkas, and explore our treasury of best vodka bottles under $50.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0721/7810/6581/files/j.-rieger-_-co.-red-kingdom-vodka-1.jpg?v=1745678846
