This artisanal mezcal blanco is made from two types of agave: marmorata and macrocantha, that grow in Tehuacán, Puebla. It's double distilled in copper pot stills and bottled at 96 proof, delivering a smooth tasting experience with mineral saline and slightly peaty notes, rounded by a very long finish.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\r\nMezcal de Leyendas is focused on bringing artisanal mezcals using rare and unique agaves from different regions within Mexico. Instead of focusing on one particular type, their aim is to use the most prevalent agaves from each region allowing them to guide the consumer across the entire DO of mezcal. These are sourced from diverse regions, highlighting the local terroir as well as showcasing the skills of local Maestros Mezcaleros. Each region ― be it Durango, Guerrero, Oaxaca, Puebla, or San Luis Potosi ― features one master producer of mezcal.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\r\nBut they do far more than just that. In 2005 they opened the first Mexico City establishment that only sells artisanal mezcal helping spark the boom we see in mezcal today.
