The rums that makeup the Hearts Collection are the first single marques or pot-still rums from a single barrel, that Appleton Estate has ever released.

Most single-marque rums on the market are 10 or 12 years old. This bottle from the Hearts Collection was distilled in 1994 and aged for 26 years. It is one of 3,000 bottles.

Each bottle contains a single proprietary rum marque that the master distiller Joy Spence includes in her unparalleled blends.

Pot-still rums have a richer quality and more distinctive texture than column-still rums, which are stripped of their character-driving congeners in their long pass through the column plates.
