This unique mezcal is rich and fragrant with prominent notes of cooked agave. Strong notes of leather on the palate, with slight hints of black olive, and meatiness. The finish is long with sweet notes of dried black cherries.

History
Del Maguey Wild Papalome Mezcal is a unique spirit that is a part of the Vino de Mezcal series. This mezcal is made with Del Maguey Wild Papalome which is also known as Cupreata or Tobala. This mezcal is earthy, dark, and delicious. The agave hearts are roasted in the earth and buried for two weeks, then ground using a horse drawn stone , and finally fermented with air-borne microbes and then double-distilled.
