About Don Amado Mezcal Arroqueno
Don Amado is a multigenerational operation; 11 generations of Mezcal producers. They distill traditionally, from 100% Highland agave, fermenting with the bagazo agave fibers intact. Double distilled in ceramic bamboo pots. Triple filtered before bottling.Crafted from agave Largo, which translates “long†in Spanish, in Santa Catarina Minas, Oaxaca, by Maestro Mezcalero Don Gernán Bonifacio Arellanes. Don Amado Arroqueno Mezcal is double distilled in ceramic bamboo pots before being triple filtered and bottled at 92 proof. Expect notes of soft smoke, candied notes, creamy mouthfeel, layers of fruit, subtle spice, rich, cooked agave, bright and clean like a fresh rainfall.

About Mezcal
Mezcal is a distilled spirit made from roasted agave plants between two days and two weeks, which gives it a distinct smokey flavor.
What scotch is for whisk(e)y, mezcal is for tequila.
It can be made from different types of agave in different parts of Mexico, but most of it (60%) comes from the state of Oaxaca. Mezcal offers a large diversity of flavor profiles and ranges between 40 and 55% ABV.
