Frederic Esmonin Pernand-Vergelesses Les Boutieres 2021

Les Boutières sits between two premier crus, Pernand cru on one side and an Aloxe-Corton 1er. Though quite dark for its light-to-middle weight palate, this is very fresh and bright due to its weeklong cold-soak and early bottling that seals in all of its youthful, fruity, intensity. Its primary fruit of red and black cherries is augmented by slightly savage and deeper loamy, underbrush notes, keep this from being a simple quaffer.

Good length and cut make this an outstanding wine for proteins from chicken to steak.
