This Japanese whisky is a blend of malts and grains from distilleries on Japan's Honshu island. It's a blend of both malt and grain whiskies in equal proportion. A staggering 8 out of the total 9 distilleries are located on Honshu.
Bottled at 90 proof, the eye-catching label illustrates a giant dragon-like creature with several limbs. Fuyu Mizunara was initially matured in American oak casks for approximately 3 years before being finished in Japanese Mizunara oak casks for 6 months. These prized barrels are famous for retaining more moisture, resulting in a taste profile that is unique to Japanese whisky.
