About Heaven's Door Decade Series Release 2 Straight Rye Whiskey
Launched in 2018, Heaven's Door Whiskey had industry veteran Marc Bushala and Master Blender Ryan Perry team up with music icon Bob Dylan. This incredible label has a core lineup of highly acclaimed whiskeys that were joined by the Decade Series in 2022. The first release was a limited-edition 10-year straight bourbon. The second release was released in 2023. Heaven's Door Decade Series Release #02 is a straight rye whiskey that was distilled from a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley. After spending a decade in new American oak casks, it was bottled at 100 proof. About Heaven's Door
Launched in 2018, Heaven's Door Whiskey is a collaboration between Industry veteran Marc Bushala and Master Blender Ryan Perry who teamed up with music icon Bob Dylan. This expression is the product of a partnership with Redbreast Irish Whiskey, marking the first time that the two brands collaborate. Crafted by Master Blenders Ryan Perry and Redbreast's Billy Leighton, it brings together the worlds of Irish and American whiskey. It's an extension of Bob Dylan's connection to Ireland and the Irish Clancy Brothers who inspired his music.About Rye
As American as the bald eagle, rye whiskey was first brewed in the American Northeast in the 1600s. Even George Washington distilled it after leaving the Oval Office, so there’s no way of denying its origin.
It’s distinguished from bourbon for its original and unique spicy notes.
By law, rye whiskey must be made from at least 51% rye grain, aged in new and charred oak barrels for at least two years, and bottled at no more than 62,5% ABV.
