About Kamiki Blended Malt Whisky
Nara with its numerous 8th-century temples is the ancient capital of Japan. It is there that one of Japan's oldest Shinto shrines can be found: the Ōmiwa Shrine. It's also home to many of the most well-known alcohol-producer families, with centuries of tradition of producing alcohol that is served as blessings at temples. It's in this magical place in The Land of the Rising Sun that Kamiki Whisky is made. The name of the whisky is inspired by the breezes coming off Mount Miwa, a holy mountain: "Kami" means "god" and "iki" means "breath".Kamiki Whisky is known for its balance ― not only of flavor, but of Japanese nature and artisanship. Blended with both rare Japanese malt whiskies and other whiskies, the spirit is fused with the purest spring water from Japan. The whisky is famous for its secondary maturation in Japanese cedar (Yoshino Sugi) casks which impart the spirit with a distinct fragrance and soft texture. Kamiki's lineup consists of 3 award-winning core expressions: Kamiki Whisky, Kamiki Intense, and Kamiki Sakura. Blessed by the priests of Ōmiwa Shrine, Kamiki Blended Malt Whisky is bottled at 96 proof and has received countless awards.
