Nonino Grappa Il Merlot Di Nonino Monovitigno is clear and colourless. Slightly peppery, hay nose with some pear notes. Fairly dry, harmonious, medium bodied, very faintly sweet, somewhat grassy, pear flavours with a lingering, crisp, slightly peppery finish.

History
Nonino Grappa Il Merlot Di Nonino Monovitigno is made from selected and destalked pomace that is harvested fresh and soft from Moscato grapes, used in sweet and sparkling Italian wines. Distillation takes place immediately after fermentation in copper steam stills without heads and tails – the result of Benito Nonino's innovation to preserve the purest part of grappa, the heart. Bottled at 82 proof, this is an elegant, aromatic and sensual spirit that should be enjoyed at about 12°C or in an icy open tulip shaped glass.
