Made from 100% Agave Potatorum from San Luis del Rio, Oaxaca, Mexico, harvested at 12 years, OAX Original Tobalá Mezcal comes in an artistic white bottle. Delivering a complex and silky palate with sweet floral and herbal notes, you'll taste almond flavors on the finish. This sumptuous mezcal is ideally enjoyed as an aperitif after a hearty dinner.OAX mezcals are made from wild agave that average 12-25 years in the semi-arid Central Valleys of Oaxaca, foraged in the mountainous region. Agave hearts are slowly cooked in the ground with oak, tepehuaje and mesquite and stone-ground by a horse before being fermented with wild yeast in pine barrels. Double-distilled, it’s distilled and bottled by third-generation Maestro Mezcalero Enrique Hernandez Zenea from San Luis Del Rio, Oaxaca. OAX delivers a multi-sensory experience with the bottle being more than just a container, but rather an art piece. Embodying the raw texture, pure volumes, surfaces, lights, and shadows of the terrain, it’s inspired by vernacular Mexican architecture; a blend of pre-Hispanic architecture and Euro-American Modernist design.

About Mezcal
Mezcal is a distilled spirit made from roasted agave plants between two days and two weeks, which gives it a distinct smokey flavor.

It can be made from different types of agave in different parts of Mexico, but most of it (60%) comes from the state of Oaxaca. Mezcal offers a large diversity of flavor profiles and ranges between 40 and 55% ABV.
