About Pinhook Flagship 2022 Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey
Pinhook's production style stands out from most distillers out there. While traditional American whiskey makers stick to a tried-and-true flavor profile, Pinhook draws inspiration from the natural variations in its ingredients, oak, and storage conditions. As a result, each vintage of Pinhook whiskey has its own distinctive personality, much like the horse on the label. The 2022 Flagship Rye, Rye Munny, was expertly crafted using a mash bill of 60% rye, 20% corn, and 20% malted barley, then aged for over 2 years at Castle & Key Distillery in Frankfort, KY. Master Blender Sean Josephs blended and proofed this exceptional 2022 vintage, which boasts bright notes of pear, clove, walnut, and honeycomb on the nose, followed by a vibrant palate of baked apple, black pepper, and toffee. Bottled at 49.5% ABV, Rye Munny is a must-try for whiskey enthusiasts looking for something truly unique.Grab your bottle of this delicious Pinhook 2022 Flagship Rye Wiskey today!
About Pinhook
Lovingly handcrafted and aged in Kentucky, Pinhook Bourbon was established in 2014 and has produced several small batch bottlings in their newly restored Castle & Key distillery in Frankfort, KY, to much critical acclaim. What makes their line unique is the brand’s three distinctive characteristics: its limited availability, mass appeal and strong ties to Kentucky’s legacy of horse racing. Each release of Pinhook Bourbon is named after a thoroughbred owned by Bourbon Lane Stable. The label also features the horses’ racing records on their brand’s website.About Rye
As American as the bald eagle, rye whiskey was first brewed in the American Northeast in the 1600s. Even George Washington distilled it after leaving the Oval Office, so there’s no way of denying its origin.
It’s distinguished from bourbon for its original and unique spicy notes.
By law, rye whiskey must be made from at least 51% rye grain, aged in new and charred oak barrels for at least two years, and bottled at no more than 62,5% ABV.
