About Pure Scot Virgin Oak Blended Scotch Whisky
Bladnoch is a historic Lowlands distillery that first opened its doors in 1817. After the distillery was bought in 2015 by Australian entrepreneur David Prior, the brand celebrated with the release of 3 new expressions: the Samsara, Talia, and Adela. Pure Scot Virgin Oak followed soon after. It's a blend of Bladnoch's Lowland single malt, Islay, Highlands, and Speyside whiskies that was finished in virgin American oak casks at Bladnoch distillery. Bottled at 86 proof, it's a smooth whisky with sweet honey notes that linger on the finish.Grab your bottle of this blended Scotch today!
About Scotch
Scotch is the most popular whisky in the world and is considered the king of them all! There are five whisky regions in Scotland (six if you count the not officially recognized Islands), and each of them produces spirits with unique properties and distinct tasting notes. (The type of grain used determents the type of the scotch.)
Malt whisky is made of malted barley, and grain whisky uses other grains like corn or wheat. Most of the time, a whisky is blended from different distilleries hence the name blended scotch, but if a malt whisky is produced in a single distillery, we get something extraordinary called a single malt.
